The designer’s initial idea was to make a shelf, but when it was done it seemed a shame to put anything on it. Maybe it’s a sculptural piece. They leave this dilemma, and the challenge of what object to put on it, to the new owner. It conjures images of speed, celestial bodies and cosmic forces, one could imagine surfing on it through space.
