"Watiya Juta" is the name of the Australian species of Acacia tree. Aboriginal peoples use this motif, the inspiration for this chandelier, for millennia. It has deep spiritual meaning for them. Here, executed in hand carved Sapele wood, its sculptural, organic form is put to use as a light fixture. Remarkably, its power to stir feelings of our connection to nature is transmitted to us despite the many miles and millennia that separate our cultures. It is a reminder of our common humanity.
